CAMARILLO , CA - The Lucix Corporation today announced that it has been awarded a contract to build flight Power Monitors for the BSAT-3a satellite by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems (LMCSS) in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
The Power Monitor incorporates 14, independent channels providing RF power detection and telemetry at Ku-band for the BSAT-3a communications payload. The payload comprises eight 130-W Ku-band channels for direct broadcast programming.

BSAT-3a Program -- The BSAT-3a geostationary satellite is being manufactured for Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation (B-SAT) of Japan. The satellite is a Lockheed Martin A2100, producing 1.8 kW of power for direct broadcast services throughout Japan. BSAT-3a is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2007.
