CAMARILLO , CA – Dick Fanucchi has been named Vice President, Product Design and Manufacturing at Lucix. Dick’s experience in these areas spans a highly distinguished career of more than 40 years. Prior to Lucix, Dick spent 34 years with Hughes Space and Communications Company where he was responsible for the design and manufacture of RF & digital payloads for numerous government and commercial satellite programs. During his time at Hughes, he has held both technical and managerial positions including Principal Scientist, Chief Scientist, Department Manager, Operation Manager, and Division Manager. While Department Manager of Communications Electronics at Hughes, his department of 700 engineers produced in excess of 500 Space RF Electronic Units per year for five years, including Receivers, Transmitters, Channel Control Units, and T&C RF Units.

Dick holds five patents and has received the Hughes Sector Patent Award. Other awards include several Hughes Aircraft Company Technical Excellence Awards, and a Pioneer Award for the development of the first microwave link for cable TV (AML).
