CAMARILLO, CA - The Lucix Corporation today announced that it has been awarded a contract to build additional flight Power Monitors for the MUOS satellites by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems (LMCSS) in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
The Power Monitors incorporate 8 and 16 independent channels providing RF power detection and telemetry at UHF band for the MUOS communications payload. The new contract includes production and delivery of flight hardware, and more than doubles the value of Lucix Power Monitors on this program
About The MUOS Program --The Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) will be a network of DOD-controlled satellites and associated ground facilities providing worldwide communication services to mobile and fixed site users. It will provide global SATCOM narrowband (64kpbs and below) connectivity for voice, video and data for US and Allied services. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor, and is teamed with General Dynamics C4 Systems, Harris Corp. and Boeing Satellite Systems.
