Mark Shahriary
Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Shahriary spent 14 years at Hughes Space and Communications and rose through the ranks to become Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. His first position at Hughes was Manager of New Technology responsible for all gallium arsenide circuits and advanced microwave receivers. His progress at Hughes led to his creation of a new Communications Division responsible for design, manufacturing and integration of payloads for all commercial satellites. While at Hughes, he also led a 200 person, three-company consortium (Boeing, Teledesic, and Hughes) for the Teledesic venture and later accepted the Presidency at Teledesic. Mark obtained a PhD in Applied Physics from UCLA and holds several patents. Mark has over 30 years of space hardware engineering, manufacturing and corporate management experience.

Paul Regulinski
Vice President, Programs and Sales

Paul Regulinski is responsible for Program Management, Sales and Marketing at Lucix Corporation. Paul has over 21 years of space systems and satellite payload design and manufacturing experience. Prior to joining Lucix in March of 2003, Regulinski served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of ICO Global Communications, in London, England. Regulinski led the engineering and procurement teams, and had responsibility for the design and implementation of the twelve satellite global Space and Ground System Infrastructure. Prior to ICO, Regulinski served as Vice-President for Engineering at Teledesic LLC, a system of Ka-Band LEO satellites for global data services. Prior to Teledesic, Regulinski spent 17 years in a variety of engineering, development, manufacturing and management positions at Hughes Space and Communications in El Segundo, California. At Hughes, Regulinski managed the department responsible for commercial communication payload design, integration and test. He also was involved in the development of several satellite product lines at Hughes, including the platforms for the Hughes HS601, 601HP, and 702. Regulinski holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.

Dick Fanucchi
Vice President, Product Design and Manufacturing

Dick Fanucchi is responsible for Product Design and Manufacturing at Lucix. Prior to Lucix, Dick spent 34 years with Hughes Space and Communications Company where he was responsible for the design and manufacture of RF & digital payloads for numerous government and commercial satellite programs. During his time at Hughes, he has held both technical and managerial positions including Principal Scientist, Chief Scientist, Department Manager, Operation Manager, and Division Manager. Dick holds five patents and has received the Hughes Sector Patent Award. Other awards include several Hughes Aircraft Company Technical Excellence Awards, and a Pioneer Award for the development of the first microwave link for cable TV (AML). Dick believes that Product Design and Manufacturing are integral disciplines, and holds to the philosophies of quality by design, and design for manufacturability.

Si Le
Director, Amplifiers

Si Le is responsible for all facets of amplifier design and production at Lucix. Si has over 20 years experience in the design, manufacturing and test of RF/microwave communication products, and has been working on very high frequency millimeter wave components for over fifteen years. Under Si’s guidance, Lucix amplifiers have become known for their exceptional bandwidth, flatness and efficiency characteristics, combined with rapid delivery and cost effectiveness. Prior to Lucix, Si Le was responsible for amplifiers at AML Communications, building the MIC department and amplifier line. Prior to that, he worked at Amplica, Inc., and JCA, Inc, where he designed and developed MIC components and amplifiers. Si Le has a BS in E.E. from Cal State Northridge.

Varsha Nihalani
Director, Finance

As Director of Finance, Varsha Nihilani is responsible for Lucix’s financial reporting and control system, information systems, and manufacturing resources control process. Her accountabilities include presenting financial report to the Board of Directors, and managing interfaces with the company’s Auditors. Varsha has had extensive experience in accounting in small and medium sized companies, and has used and managed computer-based control systems in manufacturing and financial firms. Prior to Lucix, she was Controller and Accounting Manager of Accelerated Networks, a public company. Prior to Accelerated, she had senior staff and management responsibilities at ACT Networks, Great Western Bank, and Sterling Software.
