Company Overview Space Hardware
These units have been provided from UHF through L, C, X, Ku, Ka and Q Bands. Lucix routinely supplies units to the major US Satellite OEMs, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Loral, Northrop Grumman and Orbital Sciences. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested and shipped from Lucix facilities in Camarillo, California. Our extensive engineering capability enables Lucix to simultaneously develop and qualify a wide variety of unit types. For example, in 2010, Lucix is delivering over 160 full-up satellite RF electronic units, of 28 unique designs, including LNAs, Frequency Converters, Receivers, Power Monitors, and Reference Generators / MLOs. This hardware is being used on satellite platforms at Boeing, Loral and Lockheed Martin – spanning bus voltage ranges from 30Vdc to 100Vdc with the various required T&C interfaces. Space Hardware Heritage Our units are typically composed of a number of internal modules, such as amplifiers, filters, PLDROs, oscillators, mixers, step attenuators, temperature compensation, T&C boards, and DC-DC converters. We have an extensive catalog of these qualified modules – within qualified units - delivered and on-orbit. Most unit types can be built from these heritage components. This approach supports the necessary high reliability over the 15 – 18 year missions, while assuring on-time delivery and customer acceptance.
Military and Airborne Hardware
Typical environments include vibration, shock, wide temperature ranges, 100% humidity, altitude, rapid decompression, salt, sand and dust and radiation. Full verified specification compliant performance under all environments is a typical requirement. For example, since 2005 Lucix has been supplying eight (8) types of units for the UASF's FAB-T program including PLDROs, Amplifiers, Receivers, Transmitters, Up and Down Converters – covering frequency ranges from 180 MHz to 40 GHz. |
